    Nogales Mercado Coordinator

    Natalie Ainza joined the Mariposa Community Health Center as the Nogales Mercado Coordinator in December 2015. Natalie comes to us with 4 1/2 years of experience in the K-12 Foodservice Health and Nutrition area. She began her love of cooking when she was only a freshmen in high school. At the age of 21, she was relocated to Lubbock, TX as Director of Dining Services and later moved back to AZ to continue her education in Hospitality Restaurant Management at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts.

    Nogales Mercado Co-Manager

    Santos Yescas, Co-Manager of the Nogales Mercado Farmer's Market, has been a part of Nogales Community Development since February 2008. Santos is currently working as a Program Manager and oversees the organization financials, business training for entrepreneurs, small business loan program and AARP tax site. He has over 12 years of management experience in retail and working with non-profit organizations. Santos has a business administration degree from Instituto Tecnologico de Nogales and collaborates with several organization boards. Visit Santos every Friday at the Market. He is always happy to answer any questions you might have.

    Nogales Mercado Farmers' Market is located in the parking lot at the corner of Morley Ave and Court St in Downtown Nogales.

     

    Parking is available (FREE) at the Morley and Court street parking lot that the Mercado is located in. Also, street parking is available.

    Nogales Mercado Farmers' Market is a growing market.  We have consistent vendors week after week, and we are always open to new vendors.

    La Mesa Cooperativa - farmers and backyard grower cooperative. Some of our consigners include Nogales Community Garden, Dirty Girl Farmette, Iskashitaa Refugee Network and many more backyard growers!

All goods must be approved by Nogales Mercado management before selling to the public. Upon approval to sell, vendor(s) will be asked to sign and follow the Vendor Agreement.

     

    Interested in selling, but don't have enough to sell for a whole table or are you unable to be present at the Nogales Mercado? Well, fear not! La Mesa Cooperativa consignment program is perfect for you. The La Mesa Cooperativa table is designed for backyard growers and farmers that are either unable to be present at the Nogales Mercado, or only have a small amount of surplus goods to sell.   • La Mesa Cooperativa Consignment Program

     

    Our grower’s consignment table is our effort to present Arizona naturally grown vegetables and food products to our Santa Cruz County community to enjoy.

     

    With a minimum amount of paper work, all farms or home gardeners are invited to provide their products. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more info.

     

    In all cases, we are pleased to pay all growers 80% of fair market prices for your products as our community service effort.

     

    Just send a brief note to nainza@mariposachc.net We’ll arrange an appointment to get you started.

     

    AZFMNP Approved Grower

     

    The La Mesa Cooperativa is also approved to accept payments to holders of SNAP cards, FMNP checks and WIC vouchers to lend a hand to our underprivileged friends.

     

    With a bit more training and paperwork, we can help qualify growers to become a USDA Approved FMNP grower. Ask us how anytime.
